Olson's fighter wins BC Provincial Boxing Championship!

Olson's own Robert Taylor recently won the BC Provincial Boxing Championship held in Revelstoke, BC.

Revelstoke Boxing Club president Sam LeRose says the tournament was a big success. It was only the second time in recent memory that the provincials were held outside of the Lower Mainland. The 80 boxers who showed up put on a great show. “It’s big-time,” he said.

Earlier this month, Olson's fighters Robert Taylor, Lee Milliken and Jordan Baird travelled to Seattle to compete in a boxing event.

Congratulations to Rob for winning his fight, and to Jordan for making it to the finals!

Thanks to all three fighters - you represented Olson's Gym well, and we're proud to have you on our team!

Hard work and dedication really does pay off. Our very own Lee Milliken won the Bronze Gloves tournament in Parksville this past weekend, and was also awarded the title of 'Best Boxer'.

Robert Taylor makes nationals!

Olson's boxing coach Robert Taylor is heading to the National Championships!

Robert fought his way through Provincials and earned a spot fighting in the Canadian Nationals which will be held in Quebec City on December 4.

Good luck Robert!

Olson's Gym student takes Silver!

Congratulations to Katie from our Shotokan Karate program for earning herself a Silver Medal at the Coastal Martial Arts Open on September 23.

Katie participated in Division 6 - (m/f) (14-17) white to orange belt and performed Heian Sandan.
